Powertrain, towing capacity, styling, seating, finance, VAT benefits? What is most important to you?

We know that when buying a commercial vehicle for your business, there's a lot to consider!  At SEEKER, we have the expertise and knowledge to help you choose the perfect vehicle for you.  Here are some of our thoughts on two undisputed icons of the road, the Land Rover Defender and Ford Ranger...

The Defender hardtop commercial

Having been around Defenders since 2004 we are smitten with the Defender product and especially the all-new hardtop commercial version - our definite first choice out of all the Land Rover models.

Offering a 3.5 tonne towing capability and the comfort of a Range Rover style of drive, these should feature high on your shopping list, especially the ones with air suspension.

The new Defender is available pre-owned as a Defender 90 SWB or a Defender 110 LWB.

Typical used prices start from £39,950 + VAT for a commercial 2021 plate, with around 35,000 miles on the clock. We always carry vehicles in stock of varying age, specification, styling and pricing, so there are various options for you to choose from to suit your particular business, leisure and financial needs.

With its impressive off-road capability and its 3.5 tonnes towing specification, it's not surprising that the Defender commercial is a favourite within the rural scene and, in our opinion, can do a better job than the older ones that the avid defender lovers still hold in high regard today.

The new Ranger T9

There is no question that the Ranger T9 offers staggering off-road capability, and towing capacity, making this a fantastic work horse and all-round usable vehicle.

The Ranger T9 is actually quite special, the one featured here is the Tremor designed for rural usage and is a more off-road focussed truck, built with an enhanced suspension, and exceptional ground clearance, adding to its all terrain prowess.  Featuring rubber floors for easy cleaning, factory fitted Bilstein suspension, and underbody skid plates as standard, it is highly practical and will perform off-road with absolute ease.

The Ranger offers a 1 tonne payload and 3.5 tonnes towing capability, so this should feature high on your wish list when considering a commercial for your business.  The most popular seller is the 2.0 Bi-turbo 10-speed Wildtrak Auto, which start from £49,950 + VAT fully styled by SEEKER.  The Ranger is also available as a 3.0 V6 engine option.  Again, we always carry vehicles in stock of varying age, specification, styling and pricing, so there are various options for you to choose from to suit your particular business, leisure and financial needs.

The T9 is definitely a winner, but let's not forget its predecessor, the Ranger T8.  It is also a great commercial and now represents fantastic value-for-money second hand with the same benefits as the T9.
